United Through Sport proudly celebrates the exceptional achievements of its School of Excellence Programme, Gqeberha, South Africa, following the release of the 2025 National Senior Certificate results.
The programme recorded an impressive 93.33% matric pass rate, with learners collectively achieving four distinctions, a powerful reflection of both academic dedication and the strength of the support systems surrounding them.
A Milestone for the Class of 2025
Fourteen Grade 12 learners successfully completed their matric year, marking a significant milestone not only for themselves, but for their families and the communities they represent.
These results are a testament to the learners’ commitment, resilience, and positive approach to their studies. Balancing academic responsibility alongside sporting development requires discipline and perseverance, qualities the Class of 2025 demonstrated consistently throughout the year.
Their success represents more than a set of examination results. It reflects determination to build brighter futures and to seize opportunities made accessible through structured support and guidance.
Holistic Support Through the School of Excellence

United Through Sport’s School of Excellence Programme is designed to ensure that young athletes receive comprehensive support throughout their high school journey.
Learners benefit from:
- Daily extra academic classes
- Structured academic mentorship
- Holistic personal development support
- A stable and encouraging learning environment
This integrated approach ensures that sporting ambition is matched by academic achievement, empowering learners to pursue higher education, employment opportunities, and long-term personal growth.
Commitment, Determination, and Belief
“We are incredibly proud of what these learners have achieved. Their hard work, commitment and willingness to show up every day truly paid off. Seeing them succeed like this reminds us why we do this work,”
Alizwa September, Programme Coordinator.
The success of the Class of 2025 highlights the transformative power of combining sport and education as tools for social change. When young people are given access to consistent support, structured opportunities, and positive role models, the outcomes extend far beyond the classroom.
Looking Ahead
United Through Sport congratulates the Class of 2025 on their outstanding accomplishments and remains committed to supporting future cohorts of learners through the School of Excellence Programme.
By continuing to invest in education alongside sport, the organisation advances its mission of alleviating the symptoms of poverty and creating sustainable pathways for young people to thrive.
The achievements of this year’s matriculants are not just individual victories, they are a powerful reminder of what becomes possible when opportunity, support, and determination come together.
