Take Fisher’s of Men Crèche in Schauderville, Port Elizabeth, where your support has helped create a safer space for young children to play, learn and grow.
The crèche provides a vital place of safety for children growing up in a community where violence, drugs, alcohol and crime are part of everyday life. However, the area surrounding the crèche was previously unsafe, with broken glass, discarded bottles and other hazards meaning the children were largely confined indoors.
Thanks to unrestricted funds raised through the generosity of our supporters, United Through Sport was able to install a secure perimeter fence around the crèche, transforming the outdoor area into a safe space where children can run, play and explore freely.
This simple but life-changing project demonstrates the impact of your support. By creating safe spaces to play, you are helping children build confidence, develop social skills and simply enjoy being children, while giving them the opportunity to grow, learn and dream of a brighter future.
