Our esteemed leader and tour guide, Darren Taylor, stands as the visionary founder of UTS Mauritius. While he has been diligently supporting for many years behind the scenes, it’s his deep connection to Mauritius, his Mauritian heritage, that led him to conceive and bring to life this extraordinary project.
Under Darren’s guidance, we embarked on an exhilarating adventure to conquer the Le Morne hike, a formidable challenge that served as a litmus test for our volunteers’ climbing skills and teamwork. Despite its inherent difficulties, this expedition proved to be an immensely gratifying experience.
While ascending the peak, we were treated not only to breathtaking natural beauty but also to the rich historical narratives that surround this iconic landmark. Darren’s insightful storytelling added a layer of depth to our journey, making it a holistic and enriching experience.
