Miles for Smiles London 2024
At United Through Sport, we believe in the power of sport to transform lives, creating opportunities for children and communities across the globe. That’s why we launched our first-ever Miles for Smiles event in the UK—to raise vital funds for our programmes and make a lasting impact.
To kick off our annual reunion, in December 2024, 30 dedicated runners, including past volunteers from South Africa, Mauritius, and St. Lucia, laced up their trainers and took on a 7K run through the bustling streets of London, enjoying the famous festive celebrations in the city in a unique way. Running to raise funds for our life-changing programmes, they collectively raised an incredible £2,745, proving that every step truly does count!
The funds, generously donated by our supportive friends and family, are already empowering communities through sport. We are incredibly appreciative of their contributions, which help us continue our vital work. Whether it’s supporting a child’s academic journey, funding sports coaching, or ensuring access to essential resources, every pound makes a difference.
